I went for my first visit of the season to the Brattleboro Farmer's Market this past Saturday and wanted to post some pictures of the products available. It is great to see the market coming to life again and the early supply of lettuces, radishes, some hot house tomatoes and a few remaining fiddleheads. There are abundant supplies of plants to prepare your gardens for the fast approaching growing season. We have, unfortunately, had numerous flirtations with frosts and low growing temperatures, but haven't seen the over abundance of rainfall that we saw last year.
I also stopped to see Amanda Thurber at Lilac Ridge Farm to see how things are growing and we took some pictures of the strawberries in bloom. She is expecting early strawberries around the first of June.
Hope you enjoy the photos.
Michael
